Men's Basketball - Tue, Jan. 24, 2017

Little Rock, AR – When the Panther Men's basketball team played Tougaloo College this past Saturday, they did it for a good cause.  Admission to the game was free with an un-open roll of paper towels and or toilet paper.  The paper products were donated to The Nehemiah House which is part of the Union Rescue Mission. The Nehemiah House reaches out to the homeless, addicted and disadvantaged men of Central Arkansas.  The Philander Smith Men's basketball team went to volunteer at the Nehemiah house this past November. The paper products donation was another way the Panther Men wanted to give back. Coach Todd Day, Sr. said, "It's very important that we teach our student-athletes about service to the community. Life is not just about basketball."
