University of Ozark Cross Country Exibihit

The Philander Smith College cross country season is off to a great start. This past Saturday, August 31, 2019, The Panthers kicked off their season by competing at the University of the Ozarks early Bird Eagles opener.

Philander Smith College women's team placed 2nd overall in the women's 2 mile run and the men's team placed 3rd overall in the 3 mile run. The Lady Panthers had three student athletes that placed in the top 10 and two in the top 15 out of 35 runners overall . Freshman Allyson Edwards (5th),Freshman Ayanna Allen( 8th), Junior Brianna Alexander (9th) Zora Talbert (13) and Nia Gardner (14).

Our men's team also did an exceptional job. Junior Noel Lyons lead the Panthers team placing 7th out of 30 while Junior Damien Gaston, And Freshman Miles Flood placed 13th and 18th.

Philander Smith College cross country teams will be competing this weekend Smith invitational on Saturday, September 7 at 8 AM.
